An editor, drawing on 12 years of experience, Alex has intricate knowledge of the production process. With a specialism in editing for documentary, Alex works collaboratively with production teams to carve out narratives from long duration footage. The resulting films feature many styles: from ethnographic to issue-based, branded docs to theatrical shorts.
Alex edits scenes which are emotion-forward and human-centric, choosing to spotlight the powerful minutiae of the everyday over the sensational and the loud.
His own films are observational in approach and based on personal relationships enabling the capture of honest testimonies around affecting subjects. Alex captures intimate scenes with little or no extraneous description, allowing audiences to reach their own interpretations.
